The Halloween season is one of the favorite times of the year for a lot of people. For children, it means that they get to dress up in their favorite costumes and go trick-or-treating.

But with so many Halloween costume options on the market, how do you know which ones are right for your child?

A great option that kids will love is a light-up witch costume. This costume features an adorable little witch outfit that includes lights on the shoulders that will help them show up even better as they’re walking around collecting candy from people’s porches.

It also comes in many different sizes ranging from toddler to adult, so no matter what size child you have, they’ll be able to find something!

Your children will never look the same trick-or-treating as witches year after year. The tutu on this costume is unique because it lights up (which, as parents, we also like from a safety perspective).

If the song “Baby Shark” wasn’t stuck in your head already, this costume will play it at the touch of a button. When the wearer does the “Baby Shark” dance, it also appears to be chomping.

All that’s left for you to do now is play the roles of Mommy and Daddy Shark.

The whole family best wears this costume (and trust us, the kids will love dressing up as a group), but a Baby Shark T-shirt can also be worn alone.

The Baby Shark costume for kids is a good Halloween costume for kids as it will make their Halloween more memorable.

We’re still not sure if Forky is a toy or just a forgotten craft project from Toy Story 4, but we do know he was genuinely loved by the kids, so don’t be surprised if your kids want to dress up in a Toy Story 4 costume this year.

Unfortunately, full Forky costumes are only available in children’s sizes in online stores, so adults (even those who are still children at heart) will have to settle for a Forky-inspired T-shirt instead. Perhaps you could play the role of the trash can in your child’s Forky?

Kids’ Halloween Costume Ideas That Can Scare the Crap Out of Me!

As Halloween approaches, it’s time to start thinking about what you and your kids will wear.

And if you have a little one who has yet to discover the joy of scaring the crap out of their neighbors with a mask and a growl, there’s still time to introduce them to the delights of dressing up for trick-or-treating.

Here are some Halloween costume ideas for kids that might make you want to put on a costume, too.

Zombie Costume

Halloween is near, and parents are looking for the perfect Halloween costume for their kids. A great choice of costume for a child would be a zombie.

Why you ask? Zombies are just about as creepy as it gets! They’re ghoulish, evil, and terrifying! Who doesn’t love something that can scare the pants off of anyone?

If your kid is feeling brave enough to wear this scary costume, then go ahead and let them be the most terrifying thing on the block this Halloween!

No one will want to come anywhere near your home or front yard where your zombie child might be lurking around waiting to get his hands on “fresh” brains.

With all the splatter and gore, DIY Halloween costumes can get a little messy. This bodysuit eliminates the mess and fuss, leaving you with only face paint to apply before sending them on a quest for more brains… we mean candy.

Gothic Vampire Costume

Gothic vampire costumes are great for Halloween because they can be used in a variety of ways. The outfit is perfect for children who want to scare the other kids on Halloween night.

The costume could also work as part of a group costume to provide an eerie feel to the group.

Vampires, like witches, have had a plethora of interpretations over the years, and they’re still going strong. However, our favorite is still a gothic Bram Stoker novel. ( We apologize, Edward Cullen.)

Skeleton Costume

The skeleton costume is one of the easiest DIY Halloween costumes you can make for your kids, and it fits right into the Halloween mood.

The dress is simple to make and can be done with black pants, a t-shirt, and a roll of white duct tape. On the black t-shirt and the pants, use duct tape to make bone-like stripes.

In the front and back, you’ll need to make bones. It would help if you also chose a t-shirt with full sleeves.

Werewolf Costume

Wolverine has elevated the werewolf to mythical status. Almost every adolescent boy fantasizes about becoming one. Making a werewolf costume isn’t as complicated as it appears.

A pair of jeans, a full-sleeved t-shirt, a flannel shirt, boots, and a lot of wool or synthetic fur can be used to make a simple wolf-man costume.

The werewolf ears could be purchased from a costume shop. Oh, and for that authentic look, poke a few holes in the flannel shirt here and there.

The wolf’s nose and hairy face can be created with face paint. Gloves can also be used to protect the hands.

Mummy Costume

All you need to do is roll toilet paper or a bandage around your child in a random pattern. Make him look like a mummy by smearing Kohl on the bandage and exposed skin.

For the headgear, use striped cloth. Tie it around his head in a Pharaoh-like manner. He’ll now resemble a walking Tutankhamun! It’s a terrifying Halloween costume for kids.

The Crayons dress everyone in your family up as a different colored crayon for a group Halloween costume.

Another costume idea requires clothing that you may utilize for another occasion or that your child already has in his wardrobe. You only need to make a hat and an anklet.

All you need are a regular long-sleeved solid-colored pajama top, solid-colored pajama bottom, sturdy paper to match the PJs, scissors, ribbon in color matching with the PJs, glue, black felt (long enough to wrap around both ankles), and some double-sided fabric tape.

Simple Directions: Trim the top of the cone to make it flat and blunt. Cut a circle for the crayon’s brim and place it over the cone, tracing the cone in the middle. Remove the middle circle, leaving a ring to serve as the brim.

Make a series of 1-inch cuts around the open edge of the cone and fold them outward to create tabs in the opening. Fit the brim ring over the top of the cone and glue or tape the tabs to the brim.

To make one long strip, cut several 1-inch strips of paper and link them together. Wrap the strip around the brim of the hat and secure it with a couple of pieces of masking tape.

Then, before removing the tape, glue the seam together and let it dry completely. Finally, glue two ribbons to the underside of the neck (approximately 20 inches on each side of the brim).

Cut a zig-zag pattern out of a strip of black felt and glue it to the ankles with double-sided fabric tape for the anklets.

You can use an actual leotard and tutu for this kid costume, or you can use a short-sleeved blouse and flutter skirt instead. Add tights and ballet flats and a bun in your child’s hair, and you’re ready to go.

All you need are a pastel-colored short sleeve top or short sleeve leotard, a tutu skirt, tights, and ballet flats

With this easy-to-make Halloween costume, your child will have all the fun of a bubble bath without soapy suds.

You’re done! Just add some toys from your bathtub at home. Just make sure your child wears this outfit with caution!

You will need a plain white long-sleeved shirt, plain white leggings, a white shower hat, white balloons, clear balloons, some bath toys or a rubber duck, tape, and safety pins.

Attach the balloons to the shirt with safety pins or tape after tying them securely closed. To make it look like suds, place a combination of white and transparent balloons on the shirt at random.

We all know and adore emojis, so why not pay tribute to them on Halloween? Cut a giant circle out of the poster board, paint it yellow, and draw some facial expressions on it.

To make it simpler to carry, glue a paint stirrer to the back and use it as a handle. You can pair it with yellow apparel to make your costume stand out even more.

To “alter emotions” during the day, add another expression to the back of your emoji.

All you need are poster board, yellow, black, brown, or blue paint (depending on the expression), scissors, and a paintbrush.
