Arizona

World of Illumination

At the year’s biggest holiday event, you’ll be able to drive through millions of lights! The Tempe Diablo Stadium will host World of Illumination once again. 

The theme this year is Arctic Adventure, with a 32-foot tall Sunny the Snowman and other holiday characters dressed in lights that sync to your favorite festive music.

On weeknights, tickets start at $29 per vehicle, and on weekends and holidays, tickets start at $39 per vehicle, plus taxes and fees. Tickets will not be sold at the gate; online reservations are required.

Dodgers Holiday Festival 

Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, California

Fans are greeted by a large screen showing Dodgers highlights from their World Series victory as they enter Dodger Stadium through Downtown Gate E (right field pavilion) on Stadium Way. 

Following queuing, the festival begins with a passage lined on both sides with screens displaying holiday-themed messaging as well as more memorable postseason moments.

There is holiday music playing throughout, as well as lighting displays, fake snow, Dodgers elves, team mascots, and Santa. 

The exhibit also includes a custom Dodgers firetruck, as well as the famed oversized World Series rings that are typically displayed throughout Dodger Stadium.

A replica World Series trophy statue is also on display at the Dodgers Holiday Festival. The audience is asked to stay in their cars for the duration of the drive-thru, which takes about 30 minutes.

Colorado

‘It’s A Wonderful Light’ Display

This season’s destination is Holiday Light Fantasia, a beloved Greater Hartford tradition. With a beautiful collection of over 1 million lights, the 2-mile show transforms Goodwin Park into a drive-thru wonderland of holiday spirit.

In larger-than-life lighted scenes and 200 individual displays, whimsical holiday scenes, familiar characters, and local tributes shine brightly. 

Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, and Three Kings Day are all celebrated with lighted animations. Last year, over 90,000 people attended the Hartford Holiday tradition.

Magic of Lights

Toyota Oakdale Theatre, Wallingford, Connecticut

To commemorate the season, Magic of Lights is a one-of-a-kind, dazzling drive-thru holiday light show. 

As you wind through the sparkling path, pile everyone into the car and experience the Magic of Lights from the safety and comfort of your own car.

Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights

Connecticut Trolley Museum, East Windsor, Connecticut

You’re driving through Hubbard Park, listening to Christmas music and admiring the light displays. 

The entire car ride takes no more than 10 or 20 minutes, but it’s a great way to unwind and enjoy the holidays. The displays are up all day, so even if you can’t go at night, you can still go during the day.

Delaware

Winter Wonderfest 

Hudson Fields, Milton, Delaware

This year’s stay-in-your-car event will be held at Hudson Fields, just north of Lewes, off Route 1 to the Hudson Road entrance. 

The Light Spectacular has been extended this year and now spans over a mile, culminating at Santa’s Workshop, where the children can give their Christmas wish lists to elves, who then deliver them to Santa. 

As they pass by the workshop, the jolly elf and Mrs. Claus wave to the children. The gnome village built by the Schell Brothers serves as a gateway to the workshop.

At all times, everyone must stay in their vehicles. 

Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show

Shady Brook Farm, Kent County, Delaware

Visiting the Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm is a must-do if you’re looking for festive entertainment.

This drive-thru light display runs endlessly thanks to more than 3 million lights spread over many acres! When walking around this magnificent site, you’ll come across gorgeous decorations and even some of your favorite Christmas characters to enjoy.

Take in the sights from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle or even embark on an open-air wagon trip. Despite the fact that the open-air ride is significantly colder, the views are unbeatable. Because it is over 2 miles in length, this lit trail usually takes about 20 minutes to complete. 

Florida

Holiday Fantasy of Lights

As the Holiday Fantasy of Lights returns to Tradewinds Park & Stables in Coconut Creek, it’s the perfect way to brighten up your year and stay COVID-safe during the holidays. 

There are dozens of static and animated light displays and illuminated trees along the three-mile route, including old favorites as well as brand-new and better displays. For an additional $2, you can add another “dimension” to your ride by purchasing 3-D glasses.

Daytona Magic of Lights 

Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida

The popular drive-thru, family-friendly holiday lights extravaganza, Magic of Lights, returns to Daytona International Speedway. 

Magic of Lights is back for its fourth year at the “World Center of Racing,” bringing a dazzling display of over one million lights, all viewed from the comfort and safety of the guest’s vehicle.

Guests will be able to view all of the spectacular displays from the comfort of their vehicle, which will feature the latest LED technology and digital animations. 

Tickets purchased in advance online can be used at any time, giving customers and their families the freedom to attend whenever they want. 

A drive behind the Ticket and Tours Building, through the state-of-the-art motorsports facility, and into the Midway display area will be included in the experience.

Every year, the Sowell family farms at 7650 Sowell Road in Milton host a massive Christmas light display. 

But, with the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting family gatherings for the better part of the year, the Sowells’ attraction, which allows families to stay entirely in their cars while driving around the farm admiring the lights, takes on a new meaning this holiday season.

Space Coast Lightfest

In this holiday-themed drive-thru event, more than three million twinkling holiday lights illuminate the night sky, transforming Wickham Park into a virtual winter wonderland.

If you’d rather stay in your car, you can drive through The Wonderland of Lights, a mile-long trail filled with beautiful holiday displays. This is a completely contactless drive-thru and a safe way for your family to get into the holiday spirit.

Guests can also park and go to Santa’s Village, which has a variety of activities. Take a camel ride, visit the wolf exhibit, or take a socially awkward photo with Santa. There is also a lot of fair food and games to enjoy.

In the parking lot of the Western Idaho Fairgrounds near Garden City, Christmas in Color set up a drive-thru animated light show. 

During the outdoor event, millions of lights are synchronized to an audio track that is broadcast over a radio frequency so that you can listen while driving.

Features include immersive light tunnels, RGB pixel light fields, and leaping arches, as well as whimsical holiday and winter elements like Christmas trees, candy canes, and snowmen.

Winterfest Holiday Lights Drive-Thru

The Aurora Festival of Lights, one of Northern Illinois’ largest free outdoor drive-thru holiday light displays, with even more dazzling displays that will delight both adults and children.

This signature winter event is a drive-thru of more than one mile of spectacular lighted displays at Phillips Park, Aurora, IL 60505. 

It is presented in partnership with the Rotary Club of Aurora and the City of Aurora. Every year, we add new displays – check out the new dancing arcs and the expanded Ice Rink.

Holiday Lights Fair 

Du Quoin State Fairgrounds, Du Quoin, Illinois

The three-mile-long drive-thru lights experience at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds is made up of millions of twinkling lights.

The majority of the exhibits are two-dimensional figures depicting Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, and old-fashioned carolers. 

Others are three-dimensional displays with spotlights illuminating them. The displays around the lakes reflect in the water, giving the appearance of two figures.

If you go during the first three weekends in December, you’ll get a special treat. On those nights, the Expo Hall at the fairgrounds transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with activities and entertainment for both children and adults.

Indiana

Santa Claus Land of Lights 

Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, Santa Claus, Indiana

This custom drive-thru outdoor light show, located inside Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, tells the Shining Story of Rudolph in bright, energy-efficient LEDs. 

The Santa Claus Land of Lights is North America’s only light show that tells a story through lights and storyboards. 

It’s also one of the largest holiday light shows in North America, stretching for 1.2 miles. Don’t forget that at the Santa Claus Christmas Store, every vehicle receives a free photo with Rudolph!

Christmas Nights of Lights

Holiday Lights 

Guilford Township’s Hummel Park, Plainfield, Indiana

This Christmas, a Plainfield home is going all out with a “magical” holiday light show.

Residents looking for holiday light displays can visit 25206 Knoll Road to see a light show with 15,000 LED lights synced to music.

The display includes a singing Santa, spinning tree, leaping arches, dancing snowflakes, and more, according to the house’s Facebook page.

Each show lasts an hour and 30 minutes. Those who stop to look at the lights can listen to music on a designated radio channel.

Winterland Light Show 

Ellis Park, Danville, Indiana

Throughout the holiday season, the Winterland Holiday Light Show in Danville’s Ellis Park is a popular local tradition.

Danville Parks and Recreation and the Greater Danville Chamber of Commerce are hosting this event. Hundreds of thousands of lights illuminate treasured holiday scenes, creating stunning displays.

On weekends, Santa visits the Train Station, where there are plenty of photo opportunities.

The price is determined by the number of cars in a carload, so the more, the merrier! (Of course, within reason.) This wonderful holiday tradition is only $5 per car Monday through Thursday and $10 per car Friday through Sunday.

Festival of Lights 

Jimmy Nash Park, Martinsville, Indiana

Every year, Jimmy Nash City Park in Martinsville hosts the Festival of Lights. The park event takes place every year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving and includes a visit with Santa Claus as well as live music from the Martinsville Community Band. 

That event kicks off a weeks-long holiday light show in the park’s lower section, which will run until New Year’s Day! Throughout the holiday season, children of all ages enjoy viewing the various light displays.

Iowa

Jolly Holiday Lights 

Adventureland Park, Altoona, Iowa

Turn on some holiday music and pack the car for a trip through Jolly Holiday Lights. This Christmas tradition has been going on for more than 20 years in the Des Moines area, and it is now located at Adventureland Park in Altoona. 

Nearly 100 exhibits will be on display at the event. Stop by Santa’s village after the light show for some hot cocoa and a chance to tell him what’s on your wishlist. Make-A-Wish Iowa receives 100% of the proceeds from Jolly Holiday Lights.

Festival of Lights 

Midwest Old Threshers Campground, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Over 100 Holiday Lighted Displays, including a gingerbread man, tractors, candy canes, and the jolly old elf Santa Claus, have been filling a 1.6-mile route in the Midwest Old Threshers Campground since 2013. This Holiday Season, will undoubtedly create memories that will last a lifetime.

Hickory Hills Holiday Light Show

The brand-new Holiday Light Show from Black Hawk County Conservation is now on display. Thousands of lights will be used to illuminate the campground at Hickory Hills Park. 

As you drive through in the comfort of your own vehicle, you’ll see whimsical displays and familiar holiday characters created by many local businesses and organizations.

Christmas in Atlantic

Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic, Iowa

Atlantic is one of Iowa’s holiday “bright spots where Main Street retail is robust,” according to the Des Moines Register. 

Atlantic is Iowa’s City of Lights from Thanksgiving to New Year! Bedazzled by more than 200,000 LED lights in a stretch of 6 blocks of historic buildings filled with gift shops, clothing stores, and boutiques, which has been named Travel Iowa’s number one Christmas destination. 

While in the Atlantic for the holidays, check out some of the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce’s events. 

Kansas

Christmas City of the High Plains 

Main Street, WaKeeney, Kansas

The town is known as the “Christmas City of the High Plains” because it is eccentric, enthusiastic, and occasionally eerie. Since the 1950s, it has proudly advertised its festive cheer.

Each year, the town puts on a spectacular winter light show. After two local businessmen claimed to have put on the largest Christmas display between Denver and Kansas City, the tradition began.

A four-block stretch in the town center transforms into an enchanting sliver of cozy holiday fun from late November to the New Year. Over 6,000 twinkling lights line the streets, and a 35-foot-tall artificial Christmas tree stands as the show’s centerpiece.

The holiday spirit lingers even after the lights and Christmas tree are turned off, thanks to the North Pole’s permanent decorations. It’s much more unusual to come across murals and sculptures when it’s 98 degrees outside.

You can also admire the themed little Christmas trees that line the street leading from the highway to the North Pole while you’re in the area.

Hyde Park Christmas Luminaria 

Hyde Park, Hutchinson, Kansas

For the annual Christmas Luminaria, stroll, drive, or ride through Hutchinson Hyde Park’s lovely neighborhood. 

At Hyde Park, meet Santa at the intersection of 20th and Washington, and enjoy musical entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides, cider, and cookies.

Lemon Park Lights 

Lemon Park, Pratt, Kansas

Throughout the Christmas season, the Lemon Park Lights were turned on for the enjoyment of area residents and visitors.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there was no traditional lighting ceremony or annual Christmas in the Park this year, but cars lined up at the park entrance, and spirits were lifted as drivers circled the one-mile roadway that took viewers past more than 150 whimsical, colorful, sentimental, and memorial displays.

Illuminations at Botanica 

Wichita Garden, Wichita, Kansas

Take the family on a magical Christmas adventure through an enchanted Christmas forest, where over 2 million lights are strung atop trees in over 30 themed gardens. Wichita’s premier Christmas light display and one of the best places to see Christmas lights in Wichita is Illuminations.

The choreographed light shows, hot chocolate and cookies, and a visit from Santa are all worth seeing. From the day after Thanksgiving until the end of the year, Botanica Wichita’s Illuminations is open every evening. The closure of the exhibits may be affected by the weather. 

Kentucky

Lights Under Louisville

For the Christmas season, the Louisville Mega Cavern is transformed into an underground holiday light spectacular. Enjoy a 30-minute ride through a section of our 17-mile underground network. 

With over 3,000,000 points of light, there are over 850 lit characters. It’s the world’s only underground light show of its kind!

Southern Lights Holiday Festival 

Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Kentucky

Southern Lights is a favorite holiday tradition throughout the Bluegrass and beyond, having been named one of Kentucky’s Top 10 Winter/Holiday Festivals and Events by Kentucky Travel and Tourism.

Southern Lights is a three-mile light-filled driving tour that is fun for the whole family! Santa will be included in the driving route this year, and families will be able to wave hello and drop off letters in Santa’s North Pole Mailbox.

Winter Wonderland of Lights Festival 

Central Park, Ashland, Kentucky

The Winter Wonderland of Lights festival in Ashland, Kentucky, is open for five weeks. Stroll through a 52-acre park lit up with over 800,000 lights in 60 magical holiday displays.

Due to COVID-19, many changes are being made this season. Breakfast with Santa, the annual Beauty Pageant, and Karaoke have all been canceled. The traditional Christmas Parade will take place again, but with some modifications.

Light Up the Fair 

Boone County Fairgrounds, Cincinnati, Kentucky

Individually controlled LED Christmas lights adorn the 1.5-mile driving path at the Light Up The Fair. The show can be broadcasted live on your car radio and is intricately choreographed to holiday-themed music.

Louisiana

Celebration in the Oaks

City Park, New Orleans, Louisiana

The most spectacular holiday lights festival in the country is held in City Park’s Celebration in the Oaks. 

Over a million twinkling lights are draped around City Park’s famous oaks, and breathtaking light displays can be found throughout the Park’s 2.25-mile driving tour. 

With over 165,000 visitors pouring into the Park in previous years to see the magical winter spectacle, and City Park is planning a special event with a Driving Tour this year!

Celebration in the Oaks raises money for the upkeep, care, and beautification of New Orleans City Park. 

Candy Cane Lane

Gardens Aglow

Pandora’s Winter Lights 

Portland Downtown, Portland, Maine

A dazzling downtown tradition. Thanks to a collaboration between Portland Downtown and visionary artist Pandora LaCasse, our downtown is bathed in vibrant colors all winter.

Each year, a kaleidoscope of fantastical colors and shapes illuminate Congress Street, Commercial Street, and iconic downtown parks — including Longfellow Square, Tommy’s Park, Boothby Square, Lincoln Park, Pleasant Street Park, and Congress Square Park — bringing radiance, warmth, and magic to cold winter nights. These dazzling displays have become a true signature of downtown Portland during the holiday season, wowing residents and visitors alike.

On Black Friday, the lights are turned on, and they stay on until March, making the city merry, bright, and beautiful.

Holiday Trail of Lights 

Fountain Park, York County, Maine

In New England, Christmas is a special occasion. With a blanket of fresh snow, the illuminated streets and trees of downtown Portland and historic Freeport are delightful. 

Christmas is when you can see Maine at its best, with beautifully illuminated ship parades along the waterfront and beautiful decorations everywhere.

The lighting of the Monument Square tree is an annual Portland tradition that kicks off the holiday season. 

Live entertainment will be provided, as well as a visit from Santa Claus. Dress warmly and take in the dazzling Christmas lights in downtown Portland. 

Try some complimentary eggnog, take a family photo in the SubZero Ice Carvings Photo Frame, and watch amazing ice carving demonstrations. 

Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Portland’s historic downtown, sample holiday treats from The Marshmallow Cart, and warm up in the warming hut or the cozy atrium of the Portland Public Library.

Maryland

Lights on the Bay Drive-thru Holiday Light Show 

Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis, Maryland

The event, which takes place at Sandy Point State Park, includes a two-mile scenic drive along the Chesapeake Bay with approximately 70 animated and stationary displays that light up the road.

This year’s displays include designs inspired by the holidays as well as lights inspired by our own historic Annapolis. The animated lights, which include one of the USNA midshipmen tossing hats into the air, astonish visitors.

There is something for everyone in the family at Lights on the Bay. Children can take part in a nightly scavenger hunt, which requires them to locate items within the show, answer display-related questions, and enter a prize drawing.

Santa will make an appearance on Thanksgiving Day, as he always does.

Zoo Lights at the Maryland Zoo

Maryland Zoo, Baltimore, Maryland

A nightly display of Christmas Zoo Lights at the Maryland Zoo will brighten the night sky and illuminate the community. Zoo Lights is a drive-thru Christmas event that will bring sparkling lights and seasonal flair in the form of many of your favorite zoo animals to you in the comfort of your own vehicle.

More than 50 light displays with more than 100,000 LED lights will turn the Zoo into a glistening winter paradise this season!

Massachusetts

Bright Nights festival 

Forest Park, Springfield, Massachusetts

Bright Nights have been a unique public-private partnership between Springfield’s Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management and the Spirit of Springfield, a private non-profit organization, since 1995. 

They have welcomed over 6 million visitors as a group. It has been calculated that if all of the buses that have visited were lined up side by side, they would be able to travel from Springfield to Cape Cod. The vehicles would travel from as far as California.

Winter Wonderland at Southwick’s Zoo

Southwick’s Zoo, Mendon, Massachusetts

The Southwick Zoo’s drive-thru tour has over a million lights in areas like the Frozen Forest, where you can see a fallow deer, and Whoville, where you can find the Grinch. There’s also a yeti on the loose!

Visit Santa’s Enchanted Village on foot, which is complimentary with admission, and 3is available in addition to the drive-thru. Among the attractions are a petting zoo, games, and other forms of entertainment, as well as a social distance meet and greet with the big bearded guy himself.

Festival of Lights

KOA Campground, Middleborough, Massachusetts

A trip through the Middleborough Festival of Lights allows guests to see a wooded lights display that is 25 acres in size and has more than 500,000 bulbs that shine brilliantly along the route.

Marshfield Holiday Light Show

Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic 

Genesee County Parks, Flint, Michigan

When the spirit of the season fills the streets and shops of Crossroads Village, with thousands of lights sparkling and Santa waiting to greet you, make memories that will last all year. 

Enjoy an evening ride on the Huckleberry Railroad with friends and family while watching Village artisans create vintage crafts. You’ll find something for everyone on your list. For over 30 years, this has been a family tradition!

Nite Lites 

Michigan International Speedway, Jackson, Michigan

The lights at Michigan International Speedway twinkle with holiday cheer. A drive-thru display of millions of tiny Christmas lights arranged as recognizable characters and dazzling tunnels surrounds your car on all sides in this two-decade tradition. 

This holiday event brings together young and old generations to relive memories and make new ones.

At Nite Lites, you never know what’s around the next corner. Drive through its twinkling Christmas light sculptures before stretching your legs in Winter Wonderland, where visitors of all ages can enjoy a mug of hot cocoa, a seasonal snack, and, of course, Santa himself, with his reindeer-making appearances on select weekends. 

A holiday puppet show is also available, as well as a ride on a miniature train.

Minnesota

Bentleyville Tour of Lights 

Bayfront Festival Park, Duluth, Minnesota

Bentleyville, America’s largest free walk-thru lighting display, will be a paid drive-thru experience this year to help reduce public health risks. 

The tour is only $10 per vehicle and must be paid at the gate (no presale). While some Bentleyville favorites like bonfires, popcorn, and hot cocoa will be on hold this winter, children ten and under will still receive a free knit hat and a packaged bag of cookies when they arrive.

Mississippi

Southern Lights 

Central Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Southern winds through a 116-acre park lit up with 500,000 lights. As cars drive through the park, they can tune in to one of five FM radio stations playing Christmas music. The proceeds will go to local charities.

The entrance to the 500,000 lights of Southern Lights is marked by an archway with two towering toy soldiers. Choose from five FM radio stations that will play music appropriate for your drive. 

The declaration that you are welcome to arrive by car, van, bus, motorcycle, or hay wagon exemplifies the down-home spirit of Southern Lights. 

Richardson Light Show 

Sundial Road, Madison, Mississippi

In Madison, Mississippi, the Richardson Light Show is a family-friendly drive-by Christmas display. Our goal is to educate our visitors on the true meaning of Christmas, which is the birth of Jesus Christ. 

We would have no reason to celebrate this wonderful holiday if it weren’t for Him. Furthermore, we want to make a difference in our community as well as the surrounding communities by hosting a community event with no admission charge.

Christmas in the Park 

Holmes Water Park, Tylertown, Mississippi

Tylertown’s Christmas in the Park is a colorful Christmas display of millions of lights staged at Holmes Water Park. It is the largest community event of its kind in the area. Every year, over 25,000 people come to see the show.

It can be difficult to decide which of Mississippi’s incredible light shows to see. Tylertown’s Christmas in the Park, on the other hand, is an event you won’t want to miss. 

It may be Mississippi’s largest drive-thru light show, with millions of lights spread across 40 acres. Grab the kids and fill up the gas tank because you won’t want to miss this year’s spectacular holiday event. Take a look at this breathtaking holiday light show in Mississippi.

Lazy Acres in Lights

Lazy Acres Farm, Chunky, Mississippi

A wagon ride through a lazy acres farm in Mississippi will take you through the sights and sounds of Christmas.

Holiday displays abound throughout the state, including at Lazy Acres Farm. The farm’s annual holiday light show, Lazy Acres in Lights, takes place during the Christmas season. You can either drive through the show yourself or take a wagon ride through the glowing lights for an extra special treat.

Lazy Acres Farm in Chunky puts on its holiday show, Lazy Acres in Lights, every Christmas season.

It’s been called one of Mississippi’s best Christmas light displays, and it’s the ideal location for celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

The farm is decked out in lights and scenes of joy during the annual event, including Mississippi’s largest hand-painted nativity scene.

Christmas in Cotton Plant 

Cotton Plant, Blue Mountain, Mississippi

Cotton Plant’s Christmas is unlike any other. Every year during the Christmas season, over 500 inflatables are displayed in Blue Mountain, Mississippi for the public to see.

Visitors can leave their cars in the parking lot and walk through the illuminated display. For photo opportunities, a variety of real characters such as Rudolph, the Grinch, Santa Claus, and others are stationed throughout the display.

The display sits on 13 acres of land owned by the Paul family. It is the largest collection of Christmas inflatables in America.

As you walk through the exhibit, you’ll see inflatable characters from various movies, cartoons, and television shows. Expect to be blown away as you turn each corner, from Santa Claus to the Grinch, Mickey Mouse to Star Wars.

A special section dedicated to the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, is located near the center of the display. The three wise men and angels, as well as the Nativity scene inflatables, are a sight to behold. The Pauls even have a 15-foot inflatable Jesus that will take your breath away.

Each new section is marked by a rope of Christmas lights that leads you to it. The inflatables take about three hours to inflate each day, according to the Paul family. They’ve enlisted the help of nearby family and friends to manage the display.

Missouri

Ozark Mountain Christmas

Buena Vista Road, Branson, Missouri

Christmas in Branson is unlike any other. It’s an unforgettable experience to visit America’s Christmas Tree City during the holiday season.

Branson’s holiday lineup of events has been a beloved tradition for more than a quarter-century. The holidays are celebrated from the beginning of November to New Year’s Day – there’s no need to wait until Thanksgiving to start the festivities!

Throughout the Branson area, there are numerous Christmas light displays. Let There Be Lights! Branson’s Lights of Joy, and Trail of Lights are all excellent driving tours to take. 

During the Christmas season, visitors can even walk down the Branson Landing and see light displays. During An Old Time Christmas, Silver Dollar City hosts the area’s largest Christmas light display. Around 6.5 million lights can be found throughout the park during Christmas in Midtown.

Montana

Zoolights  

ZooMontana, Billings, Montana

ZooMontana will “light” up the holidays once again with ZooLights, Billings’ only drive-thru holiday light display. Rather than taking a “walk on the wild side,” residents can “drive on the wild side!” 

Passengers in cars, trucks, and buses will be able to drive through a section of the Zoo to enjoy the lovely holiday light display while listening to ZooRadio!

Enjoy a traditional horse-drawn wagon ride with Elk River Outfitters during ZooLights at Zoo this Christmas season.

Two wagons, each seating approximately 16 people and being pulled by a team of working draft horses, will be on the way. Bring your friends and fill the wagon, or join others to see the lights and have a fun evening.

Siegward’s Christmas Lights Display 

Montana State University Campus, Bozeman, Montana

While this year’s holiday traditions may be different, you can still enjoy a drive around the Bozeman area, admiring all of the beautiful holiday lights.

Santa’s Rock N Lights

The enchanting 1-mile in Nebraska holiday drive-thru at Santa’s Rock N Lights is sure to delight driving around to see all of the festive lights has always been one of the best parts of the holiday season. 

Consider this Omaha-area light show, which features nearly a mile of enchanting holiday light displays, if you’re looking for something a little more involved than your typical neighborhood drive.

Santa’s Rock N Lights is the name of the light show. Every year, a different version of the show takes place in a different city, and this year is shaping up to be the best yet.

This year’s route has been completely redesigned to make it longer and more spectacular.

Christmas in Old Towne

Christmas is becoming increasingly popular, and we want you to be a part of it! Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance in Washington Park, and there will be live reindeer in Washington Park, music from First Presbyterian Church and Bellevue Public Schools, refreshments, hayrack rides, and an open house at the Sarpy County Historical Museum with awesome displays of Christmas trees, holiday lighting, a live nativity scene, and more! 

The Bellevue Economic Enhancement Foundation, in collaboration with the Greater Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce, is bringing the program to the Bellevue Offutt community to spread holiday cheer.

Winter Wonderland

For the annual Gift of Lights, New Hampshire Motor Speedway is trading in the checkered flags for more than 3.5 million twinkling LED lights.

With 3.5 million lights, a 150-foot RGB Tunnel of Lights, and fun scenes like the Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks, Mother Goose, Jack Be Nimble, Deer Beach Vacation, and a package wrapping machine, the 2.5-mile drive-thru light show shines brightly. 

Each year, over 650 hours are spent putting up more than 520 displays and 80 different scenes, including the popular 12 Days of Christmas scene and the 130-foot long infield entrance and exit Tunnels of Lights, which are made up of over 25,000 lights.

Hudson Christmas

Mitchell’s Magic Christmas

Mitchell’s Magic Christmas is a 50,000-light holiday display that combines high-tech and traditional elements. 

The front yard display is computer-controlled and music-synchronized, with shows beginning every quarter-hour. A magical journey to the North Pole and a trip through my favorite TV holiday shows can be found in the side and back yards. 

New Jersey

Magic of Lights New Jersey

The Magic of Lights drive-thru experience will include themed light displays using the latest LED technology and digital animations, including the Blizzard Tunnel drive-thru as well as other returning favorites such as 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland, and The Night Before Christmas. 

This season, the popular Toyota Mega Tree Spectacular returns, with favorite holiday programming projected onto 240 feet of LED Christmas trees.

A Magical Mesa Christmas 

Rio Rancho Events Center, Rio Rancho, New Mexico

According to the event center website, this Magical Mesa, presented by Sparklight, combines the joy of the holidays with the thrill of a world-class light show. 

Red Shovel Landscaping, an event partner, has been building the set designs since early November, bringing years of live light show experience to this year’s event. 

Throughout the event, there are too many LED lights to count — millions, according to the organizers. There’s also a spot where you can pull over and get a photo of your car — just roll down the window and wave — which will be texted to your phone.

Santa Fe Plaza Lights 

Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe, New Mexico

City crews spend three to four weeks decorating the Plaza, stringing 10,000 lights in trees, and placing mini-lights around the gazebo, Santa’s Hut, and other areas. 

For the occasion, blown-up penguins, snowmen, and polar bears are strewn about the Plaza. The delegates flip the main switch, and those stationed at four other power sources illuminate every light in unison as the crowd counts down.

North Dakota

Enchanting Holiday Lights

The enchanting 1.7-mile holiday lights drive-thru in Lindenwood Park, North Dakota, is sure to delight.

It’s that time of year to get in the holiday spirit! What better way to safely enjoy the beauty of Christmas than by driving through North Dakota’s holiday lights drive-thru? 

Stay warm in your own car while driving through this Fargo park, which features thousands of twinkling lights. Load up the car with the family and head out to this scenic drive to take in the sights.

Every year in Fargo’s scenic Lindenwood Park, the Fargo-Moorhead Sertoma Club hosts a holiday lights drive-thru.

The light displays can be found all over the park, along Roger Maris Drive, which makes a convenient loop. The drive is about 1.7 miles long in total.

Ohio

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Wild Winter Lights

Wild Winter Lights presented by NOPEC will transform Cleveland Metroparks Zoo into a winter wonderland once again this holiday season. 

This year’s lighting display is all-new, featuring over one million individual lights and unique twists on holiday traditions.

Oklahoma

Down’s Family Christmas Light Ministry

One of the most amazing light displays at a private property in Oklahoma is the Downs Family Christmas Lights in Norman. Since 2007, nearly two months of work has gone into producing a spectacular show that includes two 70-foot-tall “mega trees,” ten tiny trees, and 20-foot-long arches, all made of over 280,000 lights.

Each strand of lights is synced to a different mix of festive Christmas music. You’ll want to take a break and watch the lights twinkle as the music plays.

Yukon’s breathtaking Christmas in the Park, a magical wonderland of visual entertainment that begins the Saturday before Thanksgiving, promises holiday excitement and free family fun. 

Motorists from all over the country come to see 5 million twinkling lights and over 500 one-of-a-kind lighted displays as they drive through nearly three miles of illuminated fun in three interconnected city parks. 

Guests can also take a stroll through the lights or ride the Santa Express Train for a small fee.

Miranda Family Lights

Edmond’s Miranda family uses 80,000 crazy bright lights in a rainbow of colors, multiple giant screens, funky singing Christmas trees, and possibly the most unique song collection in a holiday show. 

Last year’s show included Pentatonix Christmas classics, as well as favorites from The Greatest Showman and Snoop Dog’s rendition of Winter Wonderland/Here Comes Santa Claus, thanks to the family’s three children’s suggestions.

Oglebay Winter Festival of Lights

The festival, which began in 1985, is the country’s largest and most prestigious light show. The festival attracts over one million visitors each year, including 3000 tour buses from more than 36 states. This celebration features 42 displays and over one million lights spread across 300 acres.

The first animated displays appeared in 1986. By 1987, the show had grown to six miles long, with a three-mile drive. 

There are lighted images to please all tastes, including the Cinderella Story, which was added in 1994 and depicts six dapple-gray festooned horses drawing an ornate Victorian carriage up a lighted road leading to the prince’s castle.

Wisconsin
